Is Salesforce.com's DRO the first step to a private option?

At its annual Dreamforce event, Salesforce.com announced its plans to offer a Database Residency Option for customers, allowing customers to store some of their data in their own data center while still accessing Salesforce.com.

SearchCRM.com caught up with ThinkStrategies' Jeff Kaplan to discuss what it means for the SaaS market and the possibility of Salesforce.com offering a hybrid deployment of even running Salesforce.com in a company's private cloud.
