Salesforce Work.com

Work.com is a social performance management platform from Salesforce that uses gamification -- a video game-like rewards system -- to improve employee performance.

The platform targets employee engagement in three areas: alignment of team and personal goals with business goals, motivation through public recognition, and real-time, weekly, monthly, quarterly or project-oriented performance feedback. Employees are encouraged to meet goals through a system that combines recognition -- such as "thank you" and "good job" graphics and badges that represent specific skillsets -- and rewards -- such as Amazon Gift Cards -- for the accumulation of badge points. Work.com also attempts to streamline performance reviews with compliant performance data, interactive report summaries and anonymous feedback options.

Work.com, which can be used inside other Salesforce platforms like Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud, also integrates into Workday HCM software to garner worker activity data. Organizations using the platform include Facebook, LivingSocial, Hubspot, Virgin America and 1-800 Flowers.
